Finding a New House

Image
We received (and accepted) an offer for our house on January 24th with a closing on March 4th (later changed to the 5th). We had 40 days to find a house. That sounds like plenty of time, right? Not when you are trying to build and don't own land. Shoot, even if we  weren't  trying to build, the market is on fire (see previous post for proof). We've been approved for the past 18 months but have not yet been placed. What does that have to do with an RV trip, you ask? Follow along... As I type this, we live in a 1700 square foot house. It's modest, and it's been perfect for us for the past 13 years we've been here. We've raised our kids here and made memories here. Did I mention it has 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are quite small? 9 and 11 year old boys share...
