Ready, Set, Go!
Julie and I are both blessed with wonderful families. I can't stress that enough. We truly are. We've spent the past two weeks visiting various members of both of them. That explains the lack of updates. Special thanks to Julie's sister for letting us park the RV at her house and providing me a desk for the week!
We hit the road yesterday in what I consider to be the official start of our full-time RV lifestyle. Even though the house sold a little more than two weeks ago, the reality is that we haven't been living out of the RV while also doing school and work. That starts today. And evidenced by the fact that I commuted 40 minutes this morning to the nearest big town to our campsite so I could work, it is off to a rocky start.
Regardless, here we go...
Love reading your updates.... Fred and I are taking notes, so we'll be better prepared for our RV.. so far we have... don't transport uncooked chicken, chain the fridge shut while moving, don't expect wifi, don't ever lock the door, store a key outside just in case you forget to keep the door unlocked, carry pliers (and always keep them outside), set a record for most gallons ever pumped (or most $$ spent getting gas), make lots of new memories, always laugh at the mishaps! And the last one, use MJ's app (soon to be developed) to register all your RV warranties! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou can add another one to the list: if you plan on working, verify campsite cell signal before booking (https://www.campendium.com helps). We learned this too late, and the first few sites we've booked have had zero to terrible coverage. That has created a commute for me to the nearest big town each day.
DeleteIn related news, I'm currently looking out over the Hillsborough River in Tampa. It's beautiful. It's also supposed to be 90 today. 🤦
