Lake Aire RV Park and Campground (by Caleb)

When we got to Lake Aire RV Campground it was a nice warm day. Jordan went to the pool but I didn't go for fear of the pool being too cold. Then we went through the arrival checklist and got set up and then later ate dinner and went to bed.

In the morning we kind of checked the place out. We played on a nice sized playground they had, biked around, and saw waddling ducks. I liked the last campground (Red Gate Farms), but I also liked this one especially because this campground had wild Muscovy ducks waddling around the park. I was happy about that because I missed our ducks so bad and the fact that there were some there made me happy. We repeated doing those two things until later we went to the pool, swam, ate dinner, and went to bed.

The next day we did pretty much the same thing except I think we did a little school also.

The next day we went to the Magnolia Plantation where we went to a petting zoo. We saw all kinds of animals but there were a few animals running around free including deer, ducks, chickens, goats, racoons, and peacocks. One of the deer even tried to eat the contents of mom's purse and my pencil that I was drawing with. At the Plantation we also went on a walk in a garden, went on a train, and learned about slaves.

Then we went home because it was late in the day, near 4:00. We ate dinner and went to sleep. See you in the morning!

When I woke up I ate breakfast then we did school, school, and school, which was not very fun at all, but after school I went and played on the playground and burned off my energy from being excited about my birthday then had dinner and went to bed.

The next day we celebrated my birthday!!!!!!!!

I had a list of what I did, so I will tell you how my day went. In the morning we watched "Animaniacs." Then we played inside until snack time. Then we played, opened presents, and relaxed until lunch. Then after lunch we played outside on the playground, had a treasure hunt, and had an epic water balloon fight. We had a steak dinner at the pavilion, and then we watched "Spy Kids," a movie I got at the end of the treasure hunt. Then we went to bed. In the morning we left for Hominy Valley Campsite, but tha story will be told at a different time.

  1. Great blog post Caleb! Sounds like you miss the ducks at your old house. I'm afraid that I wouldn't know a Muscovy duck if one was quacking in front of me right now. I'm glad you like nature and animals like the Muscovy ducks. I also like all the pictures of the animals at the petting zoo. I would have loved to be with you there petting them all! Then again, I get to pet Pudge as much as I want to and I'll bet she's softer than any of the animals in your pictures. Nana and I miss you and your family, but we're thrilled that you're enjoying your trip!
