Golden Hill State Park

We pulled into Golden Hill State Park on Sunday and Lake Ontario was right there stretched out in front of us. So beautiful! We dropped the RV off and headed to Niagara falls.  All of us loved going on the Maid on the Mist boat.  The most pleasantest thing was the rainbow that formed in the midst of the beautiful sun shining in and the roar of the falls that sent off a mist that kissed our eyes with this glorious site that God Himself set up!

There was a lot to be thankful for. There was a playground right in front of the RV that mimicked a lighthouse and the kids enjoyed playing there with other kids. They copied this lighthouse with the one that was right in the campground. We took a tour of it and one of the other campers, Olivia came with us. They had laundry there and we were finally able to wash our sheets and clothes, which was much needed. We ventured out on Tuesday to a 4-H fair that the kids enjoyed. They had many animals including a room full of bunnies. Spot and Thumper look like they might be a mix of a Holland Lop and a Polish bunny. The kids enjoyed some fair treats too. Each kid got to pick one ride to go on. All of them picked a different one and each enjoyed it very much.

One night on a walk with Michael, the sunset took my breath away. The sun was so big and orange! I tried to take a picture, but it didn't quite capture it.

I spent some  individual time with each kid. Jordan loves crafts and loves animals so we made some things for her bunnies out of cardboard. We made another shelf and a bridge with a tunnel that connected both of the bunny shelves. She cried over and over while we worked, "I love this! I love this!"

Next, Caleb made some canvases using his card stock, wrapping it around cardboard and securing it with tape - so creative! He said that we could use colored pencils first and then we would add cardboard to it and then later he added that we could also use oil pastels. I knew exactly what scene I would pick - the beautiful sunset over Lake Ontario. I really enjoyed sitting with Caleb and creating and I think he did too! His work was so great! I love it very much! I knew right away that he was creating the scene at Niagara Falls. I love how he created the wood for the walkway fence with the cardboard. I love his work and hung it in my bathroom.

Asher and I love to bike and that is what we did! There was a trail that went by the lake and over bridges. We saw some wild bunnies and I found some wild blackberries, though not as many as he had found earlier in the week. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures since we were trying hard to get through the challenging trail, the grass was tall and the path was very narrow, so I was glad we just made it back!

After work Michael took the kids to their first drive-in movie (well, the first one that they remember.) They saw Space Jam: A New Legacy. I was able to listen to an audio book while I clean the kids beds before I fell into bed depleted. Though there were so many things to be thankful for all my tanks were depleted. With every good thing there were so many things that were just as frustrating. I know Who was behind all of it, but it was still hard to get through it. I did with God and his mercies and strength. With his wisdom, I also realized that I have not been taking care of myself on this trip. I need to be eating and drinking more with all of the walking and exercise, but I have been too busy or too cheap or allergic of the food presented. Please pray for us to keep us from the evil one and temptation!
