Pinewood Lodge Campground / Boston (by Caleb)

We arrived to Pinewood Lodge late at night so we went to bed quickly.

In the morning we heard a loud noise. It was the sound of rain, and it was really coming down. After it turned to a drizzle, I got my raincoat and went for a walk. After walking for a while, I realized the campground was big. It had the lodge, a lake, pavillions, two playgrounds, a big piece of land for the RVs, and some bathrooms. The campground was nice but you had to pay to take a shower: a quarter for three minutes.

Later we went to Boston. On the way, we stopped at Plymouth Rock and ate Cape Cod chips looking over Cape Cod.

When we got to Boston we stopped in a parking deck then we went out onto a big grassy field. We then waited for something, but I didn't know what. Then we got a surprise. Sophia our cousin was there! Mom and dad arranged for us to be there when Sophia came to visit her aunt in Boston for vacation.

While in Boston we went to a number of fountains. For food, we went to a building with a bunch of restaurants inside and had lunch. Then we had ice cream and we went to an Italian restraunt and got pasta. Then we went to a bakery and got two cupcakes and a cookie.

But in all we mostly did a bunch of walking and less seeing stuff. We did go and see Paul Revere's house and the Boston Tea Party ship. We also went to Swan Pond, where we rode on a swan boat and saw a bunch of ducks and geese and even a few gosslings.

Then we went back to the parking deck and went home.

Later that week we left for a campground in Maine. On the way we stopped at the world's first Dunkin' Donuts and had some donuts as a good snack.
