Cuyahoga Valley National Park

I suppose they can't all be amazing. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is an odd park. It's a stretch of land along the Cuyahoga River, but it includes homes and towns, which most national parks do not.

There is a nice hiking trail along the river (the towpath), and there are a few nice side hikes ("The Ledges" was pretty neat). And the river is much nicer now than it apparently was back when it used to catch on fire with some regularity, so there's that.

We didn't see much wildlife, which is kind of a recurring theme on this trip. Fortunately, the weather was beautiful, and I always love being outside (my kids may disagree with me).

The park has an old train that runs up and down the river a few times each day. They were sold out the day we all went, but Julie took the kids back later in the week to do the half loop. Their reaction: "meh." Oh, well. Can't win 'em all.
