Hidden Lake Campground & Resort (by Caleb)

After going to Mt. Rushmore we continued on to Hidden Lake Campground and Resort. When we got there it was really late so we quickly got ready and went to bed.

The next day we went to Wind Cave National park!

Dad booked a cave tour so we got to go inside Wind Cave. It gets it's name from the people who discovered it. The natural entrance they found "breathed" air from the entrance. The air either blew out or got sucked in depending on the pressure difference in the cave and above ground. Also the cave is known for a formation called boxwork which is this cool formation that looks like spiderweb.

After the cave we got our junior ranger badges then went home and went to bed.

The next day we swam in Hidden Lake then later in the evening dad, Asher and I went on a trail in Wind Cave National Park (the national park isn't just the cave) and saw a bison in the middle of the trail, a thousand prairie dogs, a natural salt lick which looked like a dirt pit and a bison licking the natural salt lick. When we got home I took a shower and went to bed.

The next day we went to Badlands National Park. First at Badlands National Park we went to the visitor center and then went to look around. we found a trail called the door trail and went on it and we saw a big horn sheep for the first time! Then we continued on the trail and at the end of the trail there was an area where you could explore around and do what you want to do on the sandy buttes! I went down in a ravine and found some things that looked like geodes but weren't. We really had a great time! After a few overlooks and trails we headed home and went to bed.

Later in the week we left Hidden Lake to go to Our Wyoming Life, but on the way we stopped at a place called Get Air trampoline park and had a great time bouncing!

Then we continued on to Our Wyoming Life in Wyoming, bye!
