Woods Edge Campground and Wisconsin Cheese

On Saturday, August 8th I packed up the RV while Michael and the kids rode a few miles to cross the Michigan border to get local food. They picked up blueberries, pickles (to Michael's surprise they were not pickles but cucumbers), corn, peaches, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and some Michigan pop called Faygo. I didn't like any of them personally. Michael liked the Cream Soda and Caleb liked Moon Mist, which was like Mountain Dew.
Then we drove to Tomah, Wisconsin for the night at Woods Edge Campground. The rain was hard and the van slipped a few times so I was glad when it was a flat pull-thru site. It was only three years old, nice and quiet. It continued to rain throughout the night which is not quiet in the RV.
Over dinner I learned that I had missed a quarry and cranberry fields on the way (we drove by Ocean Spray on the way out), but I was not put to shame; I drove safely through the rain so I am satisfied and they can go ahead and laugh. That night, while I brushed my teeth the song Better is One Day slowly erupted in my heart and I bowed to my knees, put on Matt Redman and worshiped.
In the morning, I was reading in God's amazing Word and in Psalm 84:10a it says, "Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere." Joy. God did that. He put that song in my heart and knew that I was going to read that exact verse in the morning! Praise the Lord, oh my soul!
In the morning, I did laundry (Jordan came with Spot and with no shoes, typical). Next, we watched church and our sermon mentioned the importance of God's Word and to not depend or rely on your feelings. Ooo... I had an object lesson for the kids. When it concluded, I went to go and get a book that Asher picked out for me from one of the free libraries at a park. The kids have never picked out a book for me. It was called, "Conversations with God" and boy I love the title. It made me want to pray more with just the cover. I read about 20 pages and stopped to just think about it. "99% of the book sounded good," I told them, "but just a little bit wasn't and that is one way that Satan works. He is an angel of light and a wolf in sheep's clothing. I found 2 small places in the book where it talked about not relying on God's Word for authority and another where it talked about relying on your feelings." I asked them what I should do with the book. They did not know. I told them that I did not want to make other people stumble so I would not give it away and so I threw the book away. Lord, I pray that you would use that for your glory and not a stumbling block.
We finished packing up and drove to a cheese store. I was so excited! They had so many cheeses! Asher got 5 year cheddar cheese and later he was sad that he didn't get more of it. It is his most favorite cheese. Caleb got muenster cheese and liked it and so did I even though I thought that I didn't like muenster. Jordan picked out the smoked cheddar and it tastes very smoky. I picked out a jar of cranberry jelly and Italian pepperoni cheese (not that good). Michael purchased some cheese curds, blueberry cheddar, hatch pepper gouda, and he really likes his swiss. We enjoyed these treats for lunch and then headed on our way to Minnesota.
