Santa Margarita KOA (by Caleb)
After a long boring drive of sleepy dreams and dreamy sleeps, we arrived at Santa Margarita KOA. The KOA was a tight campground with a lot of hills. It had a jump pad, a volleyball court and wild turkeys! There was also a pen in the campground with an emu named Kevin!
After we arrived Asher Jordan and I went to play on the jump pad then we had dinner and went to bed.
The next day we played on the jump pad a lot and relaxed.
Two days later we got our Jeep and went to the county park that was right next door to the campground. At the park we went on a three mile trail along side the lake. The trail was to an overlook and went up most of the way. During the hike we saw a bald eagle up in the sky. We eventually did the trail and saw the overlook which was mostly blocked by trees.
After the trail, we took the Jeep on a 4x4 road where we rode along the lake and away from the main road. We drove on the dirt road for awhile and looped back around and drove home.
The next day we had school, and then that evening we played on the jump pad and I started a beanbag fight. It was really fun and one kid was the 'sniper' and did long range throws at everyone. If you were hit, you had to stay in that spot for fifteen seconds.
Later in our stay mom, Asher, Jordan, and I went to the county park again and went to an area down by the water where we saw a bald eagle and mom read a read-aloud.
That Friday we went to a movie theater and watched the movie "Sonic the Hedgehog 2". After that we went to Costco.
