Sequoia RV Park (by Jordan)

First, I'll start off by saying I liked this campground, because there were cats! We came here looking for a site because you have to pick your own. We found a nice site down by a gully. Then we made dinner and went to bed.

The next day we celebrated Caleb's 11th b'day! It was a very nice celebration with perfect, yummy steak and 3 hours of Minecraft!

The next day, we met a cat we named Liz (From "The Ark, the Reed and the Fire Cloud" book) even though he was a boy. He loved being cuddled, petted, held, and he especially loved playing with my rope, but mostly he was tired. Also he LOVED cheese. But I think he would eat anything you gave him. We played with him every day.

On the 11th was mom and dad's anniversary. They went on a date down the street to eat pizza.

One day later, we went to Cat Haven where there were a lot of cats like jaguars, lynx, cheetahs, even a white tiger! Then we went to a library which wasn't as exciting as cat haven.

We got sweet cherries. They were grown just an hour away from our campground! They were so good!

The next day, we had a campfire. The first one in a long time. We had it at a friend's RV. There were six kids. We did a talent show and played color tag. There were two dogs named Norman (French Bulldog) and Arthur (French Mastiff.) Arthur was big and I liked him a lot.

That weekend, we went to Kings Canyon NP. The trees are huge!

I liked sliding down the Giant Sequoia tree. There was a knot at the bottom that you could use to stop yourself.

It was fun climbing up the stumps.

I was clinging my stick as I played by a waterfall.

We were on a giant stump at night and we heard croaking. We went to investigate. We came upon a swampy area. We got our flashlights out and waited for the croaking. We followed the sound. In my bare feet, I searched in the muddy grass and found this frog!

The next day, we went to Sequoia NP (and Kings Canyon on the way and way back). The only reason I liked it was because we had a snowball fight in about a foot of snow. It was very slippery.

We were on this huge stump when we heard the frog last night.

Dad is helping me get up.

It was one of the biggest trees that we have seen. It has the thickest trunk of any tree.

It was good going to the top of Morrow Rock, though it was cold and windy.

We are going through a log tunnel in a car.

When we got home, we saw two baby birds and we played with them.

Then we went and got more cherries!

We met two dogs named Flintstone and George. Flintstone is a Great Pyrenees and George is a mutt. George loved to lick and Flintstone barked half-heartedly.

The next day, we packed up and left.
