Pint Sized Pasture (by Jordan)

This was one of my favorite Harvest Hosts. Harvest Host definition: A place, farm, brewery, etc. that allows RVs to park there for one or two nights.

We drove into the Pint Sized Pasture in the afternoon. It was a bit dreary, clouds covering the sky. We knew the owner of the farm was at a birthday party. This farm took animals to birthday parties. But it was expensive: $250 for one hour and if you wanted an extra it was an additional $150. You would also pay for how many miles away the place your party was at. They also did unicorn parties where they dressed the animals up as unicorns.

We parked next to their swing set, put the slides out, and put the stabilizers down to level the RV. Since we had been cooped up driving for three hours, we were more than ready to get out of the RV.

Caleb, Asher, and I jumped out of the RV and immediately started playing on the swing set. Then we jumped on a trampoline but it did not bounce that well.

The newly built swings!

Tied up near the trampoline was a husky named Huck who loved playing fetch, licking, and being scratched.

The owner said we could not see the animals until he was back.

Later that day, The owner's wife came out with a baby goat (called a kid) and three ducklings. We walked over. Then she said I could hold the baby goat. I did. The goat, named Bella, was so cute!!! We fed the ducklings by hand, then the owner, Patrick, took us on a tour.

I think Bella's attempting to nibble my arm

First we went to a rabbit cage. Patrick said we could hold the baby bunnies that were a few weeks old! They were so small and cute!!!

Cute fluffy ball of softness! Aka: Baby bunny

LOTS OF CUTENESS!!!

BABY BUNNIES!!!

I think I see a theme of cuteness for this farm.

Then, we went to another pen with three pigs, a cow, three llamas, and a hand full of goats. One of the pigs was named Peppa. The three llamas were named Larry, Moe, and Curly, the three Stooges. The cow was so nice that he licked me!

The pig in the front is named Peppa; there is the cow in the back

There was a big drainage pipe and under it was train tracks securing it so you can be in the pipe while someone rolls it. I got dirty, but it was very fun.

Then we went to a warehouse to eat leftover pork from a contest Patrick had entered in at the town brewery. The brewery supplied the meat and Patrick smoked it. The meat was good but it needed some Sweet Baby Ray's on top. Gramps, I'm sure you'll agree.

Patrick's wife let me bottle feed the baby goat!

Asher, Caleb, and I went to the trampoline. On the trampoline we played the game Dead Man. I will explain how the game goes.

One person lies down in the middle of the trampoline. You walk around that person chanting, Dead Man, Dead Man come alive! Come alive on the count of five. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, come alive! Then the person laying on the floor would get up with his\her eyes closed and try to tag them. My strategy was to stay quiet.

We all decided it was best to get to bed because we both had long days tomorrow

Day 2

We woke up and went outside to find Patrick and his workers getting ready to go to a party. It was super busy. The cow was loaded up in the trailer along with a few other animals.

I watched, swinging on the swing set as they worked.

One person was trying to catch a llama but she couldn't. So she got help from Patrick.

All of us - the kids - went to the trampoline to bounce one last time.

Then we left.

Bella, being annoyed at why people keep picking her up
